Sign language is something that has changed the way of those that are
hard of hearing communicate, as well as those who simply wish to learn the nature of
this language. Hand motions and facial expressions are key for conversation. However,
sometimes sign language can be a little tricky to learn and master. This tool was designed
to assist those learning the language, or may just need a refresher!
It is very simple! You see the box that reads, "Type Here"?
All you have to do is type the phrase you want to be
translated into that box. Once you are done typing your phrase,
there is a button that says, "Translate" on it. Click on it!
Then, once you have typed in your phrase, and pressed the "Translate" button,
you should then see images pop up to the box on the right. There, you
can see the phrase that you types translated into the sign
language equivalent. The images displayed will include the hand
motion, along with the letter it corresponds to.
The Phrase History feature allows for access to previous
phrases that you have gotten translated. To view a list of your
phrases, click on the button that reads, "View History" on it in
the box to the left. Then, on the box to the right, the phrases previously
translated will be displayed. If the page is refreshed, your history will
be cleared.
